Nina Whidden is available for commissioned portraits. Prices begin at $200.00 for a single 11"x14" graphite portrait using a reference purchaser provides. The price increases based on size of finished piece, medium used, number of people in the portrait, and if a photography session is requested.

Portraits are available in graphite, monochromatic colored pencil, pastel, or oils. Graphite and colored pencil are the same price for comparable sizes and are the least expensive. Monochromatic colored pencil on cream colored paper is a very flattering choice for children and young adults.

Pastels are the same cost as oils and are done on either canvas or a hardboard with pastel primer at the choice of the buyer. Using canvas or hardboard helps ensure longevity for your pastel and with proper care should last for centuries.

All materials used are professional grade, acid-free, and archival, including paper if you choose graphite or colored pencil as well as any mat boards used. All pigments are artist grade and most pastels and oils used are from smaller high-end, hand-made manufacturers such as Unison and Roche Pastels and Vasari, Williamsburg, and Old Holland Oils.
